Dear Guidance Counselor:

The Missouri Insurance Education Foundation, formed as a non-profit corporation in 1991, is supported by insurance companies which conduct business in Missouri. One of the goals of the Foundation is to award scholarships to deserving Missouri high school students who will be attending Missouri colleges or universities. (You may save the attached document to your disk and edit it directly in Word before printing it or print the blank document and submit it typewritten. Handwritten and/or incomplete applications will NOT be considered.)

In connection with these goals, the Board has approved four (4) $1,500 scholarships to be awarded to Missouri graduating high school seniors who will be full-time students in an accredited Missouri college or university and with an interest or intent of pursuing an insurance, risk management, or actuarial science course of study.

We have enclosed an application and other materials and will appreciate your making copies of these available to the seniors in your high school.

Completed applications must be postmarked no later than March 31, 2008, so that the Scholarship Committee can complete the selection process by mid-April. Applications postmarked after this deadline will not be considered.

We thank you for your assistance.

Very truly yours,

Lewis E. Melahn
Scholarship Chairman
