Purpose:
To provide scholarships to four (4) deserving Missouri high school graduating seniors interested in or intending to pursue an insurance, risk management or actuarial science course of study in a Missouri college or university.
Award Components:
Four (4) $1,500 scholarships and individual certificates awarded to four (4) students selected by the Missouri Insurance Education Foundation Scholarship Committee.
Criteria:
- Applicant must be a Missouri resident.
- Applicant must be a graduating high school senior in the year of the award.
- Applicant must be a full-time Missouri college/university freshman in the coming academic year with an interest or intent to pursue an insurance, risk management, or actuarial science course of study in an accredited Missouri college or university.
- Applicant must demonstrate scholarship — in the complete sense — consistent with capacity and circumstances.
Applicant Must Submit:
- Completed application form. (Below)
- Letter of application address to the Scholarship Committee. The letter should contain a brief explanation of career goals and biographical (background) information.
- One (1) letter of recommendation from the student’s high school teacher, administrator, or former employer.
- A complete high school transcript with cumulative grade point average and a class standing/rank.
Deadline for submission is March 31, 2026.
*Should any of the chosen recipients of the scholarship fail to attend an accredited Missouri college or university the following fall term, then the applicant who was judged as an alternate will receive the award if he or she has enrolled in an accredited Missouri college or university with an interest or intent of enrolling in an insurance, risk management, or actuarial science course of study (confirmation of college or university enrollment will be requested prior to funding the award).
